Sid Brass (born March 31, 1971 in
Winfield,
Kansas is a former American/International [
Baseball] Player and is currently a Venture Capitalist and Real Estate Developer .
High School Career
Born in [
| Winfield, Kansas], Brass attended [
| McLean High School
]in McLean, Texas. Brass set numerous small school, independent high
school football, baseball, and basketball records. He was an All-State,
All-American safety in football. Brass was also an All-State basketball
player who set many independent, small school records by scoring more
than 50 points in a game five times during his senior year. Brass also
was a standout in track and field, with state appearance in the 800
meter run. Furthermore, Brass was a very talented tennis player, who
played tennis at [
County Community College] in [
Kansas],
and competed in several satellite professional events. Since McLean
High School did not have a baseball program, Brass traveled to Groom,
Texas
in the summers to play baseball for the Groom Tigers, where he set
numerous independent home run records, as well as gaining attention from
many professional baseball organizations. With these accomplishments,
Brass has been nominated to the [
Sports Hall of Fame] in 2013, as well as two other independent Hall of Fames.
